I'm Glen Sullivan, and welcome to Foughel Industries. I am an Austin-based Graphic Designer specializing in both web and print graphics. I also dabble in interactive design. On this site you'll find my design work, and other creative efforts.
Biography
I am a native Texan, born in Austin. Just before high school, my family moved to Houston, and that is where I spent most of my teens and early twenties. It was there that I picked up the bass. Some friends of mine decided to start a band, and I was heavily influenced by bands that had these tremendous, fuzzy bass tones. I had to be a bass player. It was my experience in bands that kicked off my love for design. I spent almost as many hours practicing as I did putting together posters and fliers to promote the bands that I was in. One day it dawned on me that making a career in music was a one in a million chance, but the design work that I was doing was actually marketable. At the time I was a geophysics major, and while I loved the math and science behind it, I felt that my job options would have lacked soul. I needed to create. Graphic design employs so many of my passions: problem solving, art, structure, and general creativity. It was just a logical choice.
